I’ve been sitting with something that keeps coming up in sessions, circles, and quiet conversations… and I want to bring it into the open, because so many of us are feeling the same thing.
Lately spirituality has stopped feeling like Spirit.
And if you’ve been sensing that, you’re not wrong.
Let’s just go there.
Many of you have mentioned this to me privately, and it’s time we stop whispering. Something in the spiritual world has gone haywire.
And your body knows it.
You’re not imagining it.
You’re not being judgy.
You’re certainly not disconnected from Spirit.
You’re simply noticing the difference between genuine connection and… well… the circus.
Because lately, spirituality has been looking like:
• Ego in a sequined jumpsuit calling itself enlightenment
• People teaching regulation while being wildly dysregulated
• Unhealed wounds performing as wisdom
• Trauma responses dressed up as superpowers
• Influencers acting like gatekeepers of your intuition
• Endless “downloads” presented like late-night infomercials
And you’re supposed to clap for it?
No.
Your spirit is smarter than that. It lands in your body as a very clear no.
Of course you feel the ick.
Of course you’re pulling away.
Not from your connection.
Nor from your faith or your inner knowing.
But from what the world - especially social media - has turned spirituality into.
This is why so many are quietly stepping back.
From the noise.
From the show.
From the self-appointed gurus telling you how to live, breathe, ascend.
For many, it’s begun to resemble the same structure they once left: rules, roles, expectations, and shoulds.
It makes perfect sense that people are craving slowness again. Ethics. Integrity.
Actual relational healing.
Because real spirituality was never meant to be a performance.
It’s meant to feel like home.
So if you’ve been feeling the spiritual yuck, please hear this:
You’re not alone.
You’re not “breaking up” with Spirit.
You’re breaking up with what was never Spirit to begin with.
This season, I invite you back to the softer path. The one that honors your nervous system, your intuition, your boundaries, your rhythms, your lived experience.
Your inner connection is still intact.
It’s the noise around it that’s dissolving.
And that is a beautiful, sacred thing.
